Procraft, try putting in at sligo and if your going to fish for smallmouths I would run down. Falling water creek would be a good place to try first. They are probably going to be either nesting or coming off the bed. I would swim a grub or some kind of swim bait. I would expect the water to be pretty stained up river now. Another good creek is Mine Lick.

Took 20 lbs to win our club tx there last weekend. I know they were catching them on fluke and jerkbait. They launched from hurricane. If you put in up river i like ragland bottom good wide ramp and its just right around the corner from Sligo. I didn't fish the tx decided to go turkey hunting instead.

Thanks guys for the help. Is it really crowded there on the weekends? Like the Chick is. If so I might have to try and talk Kenneth into going one day during the week.

It is nothing like the Chick on the weekends. I fished there Saturday am it was not bad at all. I would suggest putting in at Ragland Bottom. There is a lot of heavy duty construction equipment at Sligo because they are building a new bridge there. Just be careful there was a TON if stuff floating in the lake on Saturday.

You won't see a quarter of the boats you see on chick. I'd put in at Ragland also. There is a lot more room there than there is at Sligo.

From what I hear, they are on beds hard on the hill. My favorite creeks are Indian, holmes, and mine lick. If you start seeing bedding fish, try senkos and shakeys

If I was going to fish Indian, Holmes or Mine Lick, I would put in at Hurricane. It would put you much closer to them than putting in at Ragland.
