Week one is not a very good indicator of how the season will go. With that said I will pick LSU in the west because they seem to have no problem defending the HUNH. In the East my pick would be UG because I feel that they will do an above average job of defending the HUNH and taking advantage of the rule changes that favor the offense. This is UG's year. Pruitt will be the difference in this years SEC championship game.

In the East Ga. will be hard to beat. The West is stacked with some great teams. A&M looked great but that might be due to SC not being everything they were predicted to be. The Tide is loaded with talent and it would be hard to bet against them. Still to early to be sure.

I think MISS. ST. will play the spoiler for at least one team if not a couple. They have maybe the best defence in the conference and are not to shappy on the other side of the ball too. I agree with ole spoon in that week 1 is not a very good indicator but after watching Ga. in the second half yesterday they are going to be hard to beat. Gurley if he stays healthy is my pick for a difference maker. Bama has some studs at rb but man I think Gurley is a step above them.

If my DAWGS can stay healthy, not have suspension problems, and keep improving on both sides of the ball. They will not only win the SEC, they will contend for the National Championship! I know it's only the first week, but what I seen against a good Clemson team and how we adjusted in the second half, especially on defense gives me great confidence. Gurley is a beast, but Nick Chubb's is going to be exciting to watch too, it's like having to Hershel Walker's! Defense wins games, and Pruitt knows how to coach. GO DAWGS!

Georgia out of the east and flip a coin between bama, auburn, lsu, and aTm in the west. Tennessee will give a few teams problems this year as well.

I predict a topsy turvy season in the SEC this year, and my beloved Vols may win one more game than last year and go to bowl. Whoop! whoop! They looked much improved last night, and there's still no better college football venue than Neyland Stadium. Go Vols!! SEC Champs in 2016!!
