Bank fishing near downtown...

Hey all, I'll be visiting Chattanooga later in the week for a few days and am hunting some good information about where to fish. I'm staying downtown and don't want to venture far, as I'm sure the only time I'll get to fish is before my wife and children wake up. Where are the nearest boat ramps to downtown, or any place with good access? Last time I was visiting, I fished on the river walk until daylight when I saw the no fishing signs. I think I threw a spook and a shakeyhead around but had no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is that Chickamauga dam? Is there a ramp there? How far is that from downtown? Thank you.

Yes Chickamauga dam. You can wade in under the railroad bridge. Or go across from the riverfront and fish off the rocks down there. Hopefully the river will slow down before you get here.

Go across the Market St. bridge and fish the rip rap between the three bridges. Maybe the water will be down enough by next week.
