what kind of grass to target?

My dad is moving here and he likes to fish for those green fish. I spend most of my time below the dams and am not much of a bass guy. I was wondering what kind of grass I should be hunting for frog fishing and even just for fishing the edges? Is it main lake grass that I should be looking for or is the grass back in coves good too? Do I want patchy sections of grass or more where it is completely solid?

Most of what we have 95% is hydrilla. If you find milfoil, keep it to yourself

All the above. Those nasty green fish move. Sometimes they are in the thickest stuff you can find and other times they are around the scattered stuff. There is no one answer to your question.

We have been doing great on main lake grass but now that I do come to think of it a bunch of the places that we do Catch them is milfoil...
