Watched with Aw! One trailer off one side of the ramp. Then mom and dad with there entire family around 10 loading the small pontoon in the center lane just having a good time on the ramp. After all the loading guess what the motor would not start. It is only April. Wait until May!</p>

I witnessed pontoon adventure on Sunday when a guy and his wife decided they would pull down a lane, then prep the boat and wait for their crew.

Was the way all last weekend at Harrison Bay, park right on the top of the ramp. Go get coolers, towels, some friends, and oh make a order at dockside and use the potty. Cant wait for memorial weekend.

Maybe they need to mark the ramp area with signs and paint the pavement. PREP FOR BOAT LAUNCH AREA, RAMP FOR LAUNCHING BOATS ONLY, TIE DOWN AND PREP FOR TRAVEL AREA. Probably won't eliminate the problem but it might stop a couple of people from lollygaging on the ramp.

A large instructional sign would be helpful because it is reality that some people are really clueless!!!

I've seen ....Designated Prep Area.... on a couple of launches. One location ( in Illinois or Wisconsin) had a clearly written sign detailing that one was to load the boat.... HERE..... It was a VERY busy ramp not too far from a major city. I never visited it on a weekend, for obvious reasons.

Unfortunately, the same people do not know what "Prep area" means. Ha Ha richg99

Saturday, after the CFF at the dam, someone unloaded from a black Honda, and left the car on the ramp, trailer in the water. They were gone.
Sat there from when we loaded prior to weigh in till after I left. Wish it would have slid into the lake.

I believe that you can put all the signs up with instructions that you want and it won't make much of a difference. Most people only care about what is convenient for them. But at least we would have a sign to point at when we walk up and tell them that they are being an A-hole..

I have noticed two times already this year at HBSP trailer parking, the first place a person can park once you launch there in the middle, that there was tail light glass on the ground. I got hit there once and decided never to park there again. Your trailer is a sitting duck for these people who don't know how to drive a trailer safely. Never fails this time of year a couple get hit.

If i found that black honda parked on the ramp, i would of parked my truck right in front of it. Called my buddy to come get me and went and had a few beers.

I believe they needed a 12v air compressor when they returned.

I always try and park on the left side going up and back up into the grass.

You nailed it there. Most people are clueless to everyone else and don't care to learn.

Been hit twice in the HBSP parking lot. One was a hit an run that "totaled" the trailer (cost of repairs greater than value of the trailer, $2,300 in repair estimate). Luckily a bystander saw it and got the park officials involved. It got hit hard to cause the damage that it did. Got the truck too, left rear of the trailer and left front of the truck, how that even happens? Who knows.
