Personally I go mostly early morning or late evening most all the time. I prefer weekdays, since I'm usually off a couple days during the week. On the weekends I head north, using Skull Island ramp. The only draw back to Skull Island is there is no dock. Most pleasure boaters I believe stay south around Harrison Bay and Chester Frost, the Dam the places to been seen places. There is the occasional wake boat ba#@%d and or lake mosquito's that believe there is a proximity law that states you have to throw the largest wake as close as you can to a obviously fishing vessel. As the weather cools things will get better for fishermen. Not only will the traffic die down, the fishing will get better also.
