How bad is the boat traffic in the afternoon Monday through Friday on the chic?

We are VERY spoiled here, those of us on Chickamauga. Roughly three weekends are busy - Memorial, 4th of July, Labor Day.

Only 3 busy weekends? I passed by Wolftever and pulled up to Harrison Bay around 7:00pm on Saturday. Almost every single parking spot at both ramps was taken. Id say if the weather is warmer than 60 and no hunting going on, the weekends are pretty brutal.

Personally I go mostly early morning or late evening most all the time. I prefer weekdays, since I'm usually off a couple days during the week. On the weekends I head north, using Skull Island ramp. The only draw back to Skull Island is there is no dock. Most pleasure boaters I believe stay south around Harrison Bay and Chester Frost, the Dam the places to been seen places. There is the occasional wake boat ba#@%d and or lake mosquito's that believe there is a proximity law that states you have to throw the largest wake as close as you can to a obviously fishing vessel. As the weather cools things will get better for fishermen. Not only will the traffic die down, the fishing will get better also.

Not as many ski boats and cruisers out now that school started so most traffic we see is tournament boats and the weekenders fishing
