I've been catching good numbers of "eater" cats. Typically can come up with 20 or 30 in the 3-8 lb. range in a half-day's fishing. However the big fish have been very scarce. Check out https://www.sceniccityfishing.com/photos.html

Here on Guntersville and Wheeler our customers are catching numbers of smaller fish around 10-15 lbs. Fun stuff but not the hawgs we like to chase normally. It will all get much better in late sept /beginning of oct when the current gets here. Anything over 35-40,000 cfs and the fish start staging up nicely.

Yup that hits the nail in the head! Current = big guns!! And that current has just not been happening!
