Planning out problem!!

So I have recently purchased a Nitro 700lx and it came with a 130 etec on it. Plenty of power on it. The guy I got it from had a CMC trim plate out on because the trim motor broke and didn't want to replace that. Said the boat ran fine when it didn't have the trim plate on. When I have my live wells full I cant get up on plane at all. I tried whale tails but they would kill my MPH. So I got the trim plate taken off and fixed the trim motor completely. I took my whale tail off and took it for a spin hoping the getting up on plane problem was fixed. It still takes 5-10 good seconds to finally get up on plane. Can someone please help. I have had spark plugs replaced fuel filter changed and run enthonol free gas only in it. Any ideas?

I've tried multiple size props I currently have a 21 stainless steel. Also have a 19 aluminum! The 19 obvisouly is better but kills me top end too much.

What is your prop to pad height? If engine is too high that can also cause a boat to act weird when heavy. You might need to come down a bolt.

Try a stabilizer plate from Reynolds Racing in Harriman. Put one on my old boat and gave me amazing hole shot and could run on plane at super slow speeds, very handy for night fishing!

You need to get a number on your prop shaft to pad height. Then prop the motor to run at its top optimal rpm at WOT with your lighter average load. Take that prop and get it tweaked at a good prop shop for hole shot. A prop with PVS holes is great because you can self tweak the hole shot. Them get a BMan style foil for your cavitation plate. These do not limit top end speed only help with hole shot and coming off plane.

Sometimes a jack plate can be useful in maximizing efficiency. But with that size boat it may not be necessary.
