I have only been out in my yak a few times, though i found a few other streams/rivers im intrigued about. namely the Sequatchie river, Collins River, and Battle Creek. however i am having a hard time finding a map with good kayak launch sites for each of these rivers. also a safe place to park a vehicle so it wont get broken into while im on one of these rivers. i have tried TWRA's site but its hit or miss/ also have tried a couple of applications. if anyone has any good info regarding good kayak launch maps for warm water streams.. please help a fellow fisherman out!! thanks again in advance!!!
Good Fishing!

Does anyone know if you can put in at the grass lawn across from Harrison Bay State Park Marina? It looks like a nice place to spend the day and use the provided grills and tables.

Hwoody,
I am trying to find this and other warm water stream info out through TWRA. lots of loops and hoops to jump through. as of right now on the sequatchie, you can put in at Ketners Mill though you CAN NOT park there. you have to have two people and park leave a car further down river. I will post more once i do some more research.
Good fishing!

Download the Navionics app on your phone or you can pull it up on the computer. The app is $6.99 on the phone but well worth it.

Yes, people use that area every day of the week.

Thanks Aries. I actually went up there last night. It is easy to put in there. Just my second outing in the kayak, so I'm learning I've got to tweak my setup. I need to get my anchor trolley installed. I need to move my rod holders on my crate. Plus I need to figure out a better tackle bag.
I love the kayak. I have a fast paced job and being on the water is peaceful.

Ok, So here is a just a bit more info on the Sequatchie River. I just talked to the Ranger in i think in Region 3 who lives on the sequatchie river. i asked him regarding the Ketners Mill area and he said even though there are private property signs there, the owner is ok with you launching a Kayak or small craft there as long as it is day use only. he also said the owner is OK with having vehicles parked there for DAY USE ONLY. also be mindful and clean up after yourself by taking your trash (if u have any) with you. He said also that probably better to launch above Ketners Mill since the water there is slower moving and a lot less obstructions. you can catch small mouth, largmouth, crappie, red eye, pretty much any lake fish. if you launch below Ketners he said the the water there is faster moving and harder to paddle back up stream if you are by yourself. he did note to STAY AWAY FROM THE KETNER MILL DAM! As calm as it looks it WILL SUCK YOU INTO IT AND UNDER! so be very mindful of that. he was an excellent source of info and was knowledgeable of the area. he said the reason that kayak launch sites are NOT listed on the map is that most of the sequatchie is private property and the TWRA map only lists public launch sites. Hope this helps!!
Good Fishing to all!!
