Heading to Panama City Beach soon with the family.

Does anyone have any personal, firsthand experience with any guides/party boats in PCB?

If so, would love to hear some recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Richard, contact Mike Sullivan 850-866-3474. We have been fishing with him for at least 15 years. He does offshore bottom or trolling. He is a no nonsense, no bs business guy. You will catch fish and have an enjoyable time. He is located at Capt. Andersons

Richard, I will second my grandfathers statement. Mike Sullivan is a TOP notch captain and person. Give him a call, you will not be disappointed!

Capt. Bobby Robinette Treasure Ship marina. Been on 5 or 6 charters with his fleet. All were top notch.

Solid questions.... don't want to spend much (who does). Looking for a 6-hour inshore or near shore trip for three, for $600 (or less). I suffer from Sticker Shock when looking at guide prices in coastal waters. I know their overhead and operating costs are much higher than mine, and the demand for services much greater. But it still amazes me how much they charge.

What is ARS?

Yep, fun fishing with the family.

I'm likely to go out with this guy one night: www.facebook.com/offthebeachsharkfishingtrips/ Looks like a very unique, low cost experience. Got a good recommendation from a friend.

I'm still trying to decide on an inshore trip. Most folks all charge about the same... $550 to $600 for a five or 6 hour trip. There are so many it's tough to know who is on fish and who is not. And on Facebook I got so many DIFFERENT recommendations, it is still tough to know who to choose.

Of course I'll probably be doing my own thing as well, fishing in St. Andrews State Park.

Richard, there is a small Public Pier on the Grand Lagoon just off of Thomas Drive. I have hooked into some pretty good fish on that pier. Pier is sort of an overstatement, it is more like the docks at Chester Frost. Depending on the tide, some pretty big fish prowl that area.

I looked it up on google maps. Leave Thomas Drive turn on Dolphin Street and follow it all the way back to parking area.

You can rent a boat. Pensacola bay has some good fishing. Depending on the weather and how the tide is running it's not uncommon to catch kings just inside the pass. Drop a Carolina rig with live pilchard or finger mullet for bill reds. Fish the grass flats with a spook for slot reds or trout. Hit up some bridge pilings for sheepshead. I've fished that area for years out of my own boat and still trailer one to the coast on vacations.
