Anyone use Ray Marine electronics on Chick or around our area? Possibly getting some of these and just curious to whether the mapping is good. Never heard much about them around here.

I've been using the Dragonfly 7pro as my console unit for about a month now and have been pretty impressed. You can get it through thegpsstore.com with the navionics+ card for $439. To me, this is a phenomenal deal.

Mapping with the navionics card is great. I haven't used it on Chick, but have used it on Guntersville, Percy Priest, and Old Hickory and all had great detail and at least 2' contours.

Most impressive thing has been the down imaging. Im not sure if its the screen clarity or the maybe the rendering style that Raymarine uses, but it is awesome. Much better than the Lowrance I have on the front of the boat, which I actually think is quite good, and even better than the much more expensive Humminbird on my Dad's boat.

The only 2 complaints I can come up with would be that the button response is a hair slow and the actual buttons are not back-lit making it a little more difficult to use at night than units I've had previously.

When I bought it, I felt it was kind of a risk because, like you apparently, I couldn't find many reviews but the roll of the dice has paid off pretty well for me so far.
