Anybody been having any luck below nick dam for LM? Been thinking about locking thru but Ive never even laid eyes on it. Lake side has been marginal at best.

Hey Milky, screw locking just go put in at river park or the ramp right there by chatt state. It's always pretty good down there. The rig, spooks, crank baits,sb's, and anything else you want to throw should work.

It's 46 miles from dam to dam I don't belive it would be worth making the run to fish up there i will be out there with my son and his partner we talked about doing it but it wouldn't be worth it that's a lot of time spent running

We've done the same thing for a tournament in the past. Caught fish below dam and got jammed up on time waiting for a barge to lock down. Be sure to allow plenty of time to lock. Commercial traffic gets priority. We caught them at the corners of the concrete walls in the eddy's. Single swim baits, a-rigs, etc worked good. Also caught fish down river at the mouth of the Sequatchie River. Bite depends on amount of current.
