Evinrude mechanic wanted.

Looking for someone reasonably cheap as far as boat work goes and fairly fast as I have a tournament to fish in mid October. It's a 1995 evinrude intruder 150. Not sure if I'm having fuel or firing problems. Replaced fuel lines, rebuilt carbs, checked fuel filter, replaced primer ball, seems to be venting good as I can feel air coming from vents when refueling. Runs ok for about a mile then boggs down and dies. Upon restarting it misses pretty bad and dies when put in gear. Almost like something is over heating or fuel line is collapsing (hence the new fuel lines). But even when it runs ok it's not topping out like it should(maxes out about 43mph at around 5000 rpm). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Better bring it in here for a compression test. If you're not getting a warning horn from the VRO, there's probably no problem with fuel and oil delivery. PM me for contact details. I can look at it Tuesday Eve at my shop.
