The fish are as confused about the warm weather and warm water temps, as we are about where and how to catch them lol. Water temps have been up and down over the last month or so. Someone said water temps are creeping back down now which is good. The fish seem to be scattered and suspended from what I can tell the last couple trips I've been out.

A few more details would be helpful to everyone. Unless you are saving them for a big tourney.

Right! You could win every tournament on the lake with sacks like that!! I caught them pretty good today using the same pattern i've been using for a month and it's baitfish and shallow! DT 6 has been my go to bait. Makes me think Mr. Fitzgerald is catching them deeper with size like that. I know for a fact there are still big fish deep. I've not been fishing any tournaments lately so I'm not to worried about catching 25lb bags. And I have to say it's kind of nice. It's been a lot of fun catching schooling fish over the last month. Usually fall is kind of tough for me but this year has been a blast!

There are fish in the grass for sure, got out yesterday afternoon for a couple hours and caught quite a few out of the grass mats if you can find a matt there's probably fish in it. Caught one about six, trying to upload a picture but it says it's too big

I worked the baitfish and shallow angle all day last weekend and didn't have any luck with it whatsoever. The ol "find the bait, find the fish" adage let me down

I had a good friend fishing the heartland classic and had helped him get on some fish during the week we were fishing some shallow shell beds with a swim jig. he ended up 4th on the pattern. the bite seems to be picking up. in the Dayton tournament sunday someone had 21 pounds with 3 fish. 1 was over 11 and another around 8 we managed about 15 pounds sunday off the same spot after it got hammered all weekend especially after he set on it all day fri and brought it almost 20 pounds I guess people took notice and took it over before he got there sat morning on day 2 he finished with 32 pounds 2 day total.

Awesome thanks! I went out all weekend but sunday was epic for size! I hit a spot I only hit a few times a year for big guns and they were there! It was about 2 ft deep. First cast I had one blow up on my spook that was a monster and she missed it. 2nd cast I hooked a monster. It came completely out of the water to eat the spook then jumped one more time and threw the dang hooks. It was over 10 for sure. next 4 casts I had a 5, 4.7, 4.3, and two that were over 3.5. Hit another spot and caught another 4lber and had a lot of other keepers to go with it. We had 64 fish in about 4 hours, and then the storm blew in. We have still been talking about how big the one that got away was!! In four days of fishing there were 192 bass that came into the boat!
