In my lifetime I've been involved in a LOT of deer harvests. However I don't think I ever have been, or ever will be, in on one as exciting as this. Blake Russell and his Dad, Brian, were taking part in a Tennessee Wildlife Federation Hunt Masters Youth Hunt this weekend. I was proud to be their guide/mentor/partner when Blake got the chance to take a once-in-a-lifetime buck. The recovery of Blake's buck was almost exciting as the shot. Stay tuned sometime soon for the full story of "The Piebald Buck." I'm not sure if I'm capable of telling it, but it is one of the best tales of a true team effort I've ever experienced.
