There are always vehicles parked at the wolftever bridge on 58 so I would think people are catching them there. Minnows and small jigs for bait.

I usually fish from a boat but the last couple of times this week that I have gone past there have been massive amounts of bait going under the bridge and there are lots of people fishing there. When that is the case there are almost always crappie being caught there. Some of the fish that I marked looked like crappie too.

It feels great outside today and I'm at work. I had rather be on the water. Good luck to everyone fortunate enough to be fishing!

I'm sure glad I have a buddy that keeps me supplied with Crappie Filets in my freezer. We kinda barter. He likes my soft plastics I make and I like his Crappie filets so we trade. I think I am getting the better of the deal but he caatches a lot of bass and wins some money so both are happy.....LOL

tiny jigs and slip floats casted to the bridge pilings around 15 ft deep always work.

oh forgot to tell you..it's fun standing with 15 to 20 ft of line at your feet while you adjust a slip float. why?? because the water is only 2 ft deep where your standing and all big rock. after you break off a few you'll find the ledge to crank up and over!!

I was wondering the same thing myself tight_lines. I have all next week off and have never fished for crappie. I wanted to run out easily and fish from the bank. Wondered if anyone had some pointers

Get on YouTube and search for Realistic Fishing. His name is Alex and he's just up the road at Hickory Lake.
He bank fishes a lot and has success, even lately. Since he is so close and for the most part has the same weather as us his tips should work here too..
