I'm coming down to fish the G the first week of March. I was wondering if anyone has any help, tips, advice or anything to help me and my son catch bass. I know it's early but it never hurts to ask. You can PM me if you are shy about any info. Thanks a bunch!

Rayburn Red rattling lipless baits, fish them shallow, if you think your too shallow move in even more, there should be the remains of last years grass patches and stumps, you'll have plenty of company anywhere you go but ignore them and fish, don't let them take your mind off what you are doing, Mud creek, Town creek Racoon creek will serve you well, no need to go all the way to Guntersville city limits, I forgot Goose pond also.... that's more than you can cover in one trip

Its similiar to the Rayburn Red color but try the Delta Red color strike king red eye shad, i perfer the 1/2oz. Keep changing your retrieves patterns until you find what they perfer that day. Good luck. Oh, and x2 on Mud Creek.

Chances are you will be running from the floating eel grass. It can get monotonous constantly getting hung on the floating grass after just a few cranks, but stick with it. I went down last year about that time and we absolutely smoked them, you just got to get used to the grass.
