Propeller Pitch for Best Overall Performance

I have a 1988 Norris Craft 1750XL Vee with a Mercury Blackmax 150 Xr2 (1986 I think). I have a Quicksilver 48-11078A40 25Pitch prop on it now. It seems to work pretty good but it’s a bit dinged up and I was wanting to replace it. I can get into the 5000-5500rpm range with it on plane and me and my brother are both big guys over 6’ and 250lbs+ lol. I couldn’t find this prop online and I don’t know much about props in relation to performance. Does anyone know of a good replacement that will fit my motor and be comparable to the one I have? Or any suggestions on what would work better for overall performance? Thanks.

I'll agree with "fischnrod" that a 4 blade Trophy would work well. Thay motor needs to turn 5500 to 6000 for best performance.
I would recommend that you call Tim Hackney at Performce Propeller in Soddy-Daisy and see if he has something you could try.

Below is the link to Mercury's Prop Selector guide... it's a step by step guide to select the best prop you're looking for based on what results you're looking to achieve. Just answer the 5 questions... boat type, usage/performance goal (acceleration, top speed, hole shot), engine type/size, and pitch. Based on your answers, it will recommend a couple different prop.
