Garmin Echomap 94sv

Anybody running one of these that can tell me how they like it? Bass Pro is running this unit on sale for $599. The ad says it is a touchscreen unit, but when I went to look at it today, they say it was a misprint and the unit on sale is a salt water version with no touchscreen. Nonetheless....I would love to hear from someone that has a similar unit. I am new to side and down imaging and have no experience with mapping. All I do is crappie fish....no bass. The unit also comes with a free "LakeVu" mapping card. Will this cover Chickamauga and Nickajack? I will mainly use this to sidescan docks and find brushpiles. Looks like a pretty good deal if it does all they say it will do. Any advice/input is much appreciated. Thanks.

I think it looks like a solid deal for that fish finder. Garmin seems to be cranking out some pretty nice products. The LakeVu card does seem to cover Nickajack and Chickamauga. Im not sure which version of the LakeVu card they are handing out though. You can search for lakevu online and it shows you all the lakes that it covers.

I've got the 7" version with the old Transducer before Navico sued them. It's decent for the price but I can tell the difference between the Lowrance units and Garmin. It really seems like the returns on fish are not as firm. I've adjusted everything I can to see if I can figure it out and it's better but not great.

Bass Pro told me the salt water card on this unit can be updated in your computer...to get all the inland lakes. That is what I'm trying to figure out. Whether that is actually true or not.
