How low is the lake (chic)? I'm coming down Friday for a day with my dad. Is Dayton dock ok to launch from?

Yes water is on the rise

It's about 3.5 feet from a week or 2 ago but still not anywhere near full pool. Dayton should be fine to launch from but will be shallow from the no wake buoy near the ramp to the bend.
