Big Bass Tour May 19-20, Lake Chickamauga Stories, Results, Thoughts, Experiences....

How did everyone do this year who fished the Big Bass Tour on Chickamauga? I have a pretty good story from it, but just wanted to put some feelers out there on where the biggest fish were caught.

Fishing conditions seemed ideal Saturday morning, cloudy, water temp around 75 with pop-up showers and about 3-4 mph breeze. Sunday on the other hand was pretty warm mostly sunny, high of around 87.

Personally, I caught about 25 little guys using just about all of the big names in my tackle box, mostly fishing docks, shallows, and a couple ledges. I heard the females ran deep post-spawn. emoBang . Still there were some big bass that were caught.

Hope all who fished had a great time and got some R & R in.

Anyone want to share experiences?

Deeper flats and ledges were loaded with boats. Some fish were still on beds.

Pretty sure at one point I counted 8 boats by the powerplant.

3-7 boats at a time on every hump on the lake

The bass boat traffic was insane yesterday, even on the lower end as far from Dayton as possible. Insane even for Chickamauga.

I think its awesome even with the number of tournaments and people fishing, there is some huge fish being caught all the time...I remember when a 4 pounder was awesome, now that is an average fish!!

This might be off by a couple but out of the 140 money fish 135 was over 5 lbs. To me that says a lot about the lake.

Wonder how that compares to like Guntersville or other places the Big Bass Splash is held?

All I know is I had a hell of a time even hooking a 2-5 lber. There were so many little males that were hitting. Guess I will have to figure out the ledges a bit better.

You can compare on their website. Conroe is about the only lake that has put out that kind of weight that i saw

My big and only fish was 3.82 did not cash. my buddies had 5.22, 5.32 and 6.32 all of them got checks all caught in less than 2 feet. The worst part was the ride back and forth to Dayton, especially Sunday afternoon
