CBA Classic...Had a great weekend on the water, we caught all our fish on a frog and punching the mats. Caught most of our fish on a frog which included two giants. One weighed 9.05 and the other was 7.80, backing that up with some solid fish was my Zoom Z Craw on a 1oz Tungsten weight. All the frog fish came out of less than 5 feet and our flipping fish came from 5 or more. Congratulations to all the other money winners, I still love fishing the Chick against a lot of great fishermen and friends. You want find any tougher competition anywhere I've been across the country!! Good luck and tight lines.

Wow. I could only imagine seeing a 9 take a bait on top. I've caught lots of 9lbers this year but I've never caught one that big on top water. I'd love to see that.

Thanks for sharing Buddy and congrats again on your and Alex 1st place finish In the Classic. You two showed us all that it can be done even on the tough days. Looking forward to seeing you win more on the bass circuits. emoWorthy Jmax

Good Lord! If your going to catch your biggest fish that you have ever caught on a frog, leave it up to you to do it in the CBA Classic when it goes a long way. emoAngel Jmax

Nice little chunk of change to end the season with. You have had a heck of a year for sure! Congrats

Congrats to you and Alex. And as I speak we are headed to throw a frog for a little while. First time this year for me with the exception of a few minutes before it gets dark in the afternoon!

Congrats on the win! Sounds like alot of fun. Wish I could put together a frog bite for my tourney this weekend or better yet just a bite in general.

Wow, a 9 on a frog in the grass, what a great thing! Probably sounded like a toilet flushing! I hope to get out and grass fish some this fall. Never have really done very well targeting fish in the grass but haven't done it much either. I will have to beef up my gear as I tend to fish with medium action rods and lighter line than what I should in the grass. I could see a 9lber with 20lbs of grass on it and me trying to pull it out with 12lb test. Not a pretty sight. :)

Thanks for the report Buddy. It don't matter what level of bass fishing you are in, there is nothing like catching a giant on a frog in the mats. And when it's in a classic TX, it just makes it even sweeter!
