Gar

Caught a couple of these short nose gar on a popping bug yesterday.
Hooked about a dozen and landed two.
Please excuse the dirt and mud on the fish and my rod,we had some flopping issues.

Nice! Not many folks target gar with the fly rod, but there are a few of us around. Large streamer with a treble stinger is my usual set up.
