Never big on spinners used with soft plastics though they have done well in the past. They do fine.

Johnson lure company sold the Beetle Spin decades ago and it caught fish. Stopped using it but found that fish do try to smash it especially in algae green water in summer. This lure was hand poured with a tail I usually shortened with a blade, but found it worked just as well 2 3/4"

 

 The original used a straight double tail grub which did fine, but the straight, flat-tail grub tail flutter has consistently gotten more strikes.
