I have a 700 series (can't remember exactly which one 797 or 798) on the bow of my FX21. It is a C si model with side scan. I've never really paid much attention to the side scan from the bow but I got to thinking. Does the built in transducer on a fortrex 101 even support side scan? I get a sidescan picture on the bow unit but I'm not sure it really means anything. My boat and electronics are 2010 model year. It was a Skeeter factory demo rig so at the time it had all the bells and whistles but of course now I'm way behind. My bow bird is linked via the old interlink box to a helm 900 series C si unit. I use the sidescan from the helm unit often and it is helpful.
