Oakwood presents the Northwest Georgia Sportsman’s Expo on Saturday, March 8th, 2014 from 2:00p to 5:00p at the Chickamauga Campus of Oakwood Baptist Church featuring Professional Bass Fisherman, Clay Dyer.
Clay Dyer was born without any lower limbs, no arm on the left and a partial arm on the right. However, these limitation did not dampen his determination and positive spirit. Clay has not allowed his physical disabilities to be an obstacle earning the respect of his fellow anglers on the pro circuit. A professional angler since 1995, Clay has fished in more than 200 bass tournaments and placed first in approximately 20 state bass tournaments. Clay’s motto for life is ‘If I can, you can.’
The Northwest Georgia Sportsman’s Expo will also feature a wild game dinner, gun raffle, hunting supplies, car and motorcycle show, inflatables for the kids, music from Chris McDaniel, formerly of Confederate Railroad.
The Northwest Georgia Sportsman’s Expo is presented by the Woods and Water Ministry of Oakwood Baptist Church, according to Ministry Leader Joe Greco, ‘The Woods and Water Ministry exists to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through outdoor activities outdoor enthusiasts of all ages.’
‘At Oakwood we are all about making a connection and for some that connection comes from the love of the outdoors.’, says Oakwood’s Lead Pastor Allen Farris.
The Northwest Georgia Sportsman’s Expo takes place at Oakwood’s Chickamauga Campus located at 115 Oakwood Street, Chickamauga, Ga 30707. Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 12 and under and can be purchased in advance at www.oakwoodbc.org/woodsandwater (then click the ‘MORE’ tab on Expo event).
