I love my 7' 9" Veritos 2.0 heavy, its has a slightly softer tip with large guide and it was made for the rig, I know lots of people prefer a slower gear ratio, but not me. I like to be able to change speed of retrieval for get a reaction bite and speed up retrieval on in current and or structure to keep from hanging up. The key on any rod of choice, is to make sure its not super stiff on the tip. That's where it will wear you out throwing it all day.
