Have Friday off. Was hoping to come down and take my dad crappie and maybe some bass fishing. What shapes the lake in? Don't want to drive 100 miles to fish in the mud. Plan on fishing shoddy creek down. Any info greatly appreciated.

I don't know about crappie but if it really is sunny at 60 like the forecast shows the bass "should" move up shallow by the afternoon. The lake shouldn't be too muddy but don't run from dirty water if you find it. It warms up faster than clear water and they will be where its warm

Don't know about crappie but the bass usually hold close to cover (laydowns, stickup, stumps, etc) in dirty water. It makes them easier to find alot of the time.
