New Member, but been watching

Finally joined in the fun. I live just north of Nashville. Used to fish Kentucky lake primary but giving up because of the carp. I surely hope the TWRA gets a grip on it before they reach the chick.

I’ll be fishing this Thursday-Sunday with my wife and hopefully find a few of the ledges. Gonna visit with my bro who lives in Soddy Daisy.

If any of you have any tips I’m all ears.

Welcome Gary. Better be “all eyes” as well on a weekend on the “Chick”. Not trying to discourage you. However, school is out. Be alert and good luck fishing.

I started out yesterday morning fishing spinnerbait, top water, and chatterbait. As Rusty would lament, no love.. Switch to finesse worm on shakeyhead and Texas rig and caught seven keepers. Lost a giant at boat. I don’t fish as much and not near the fisherman than most of the guys on this forum. Good luck to you.

Ha! It’s no worse than Kentucky lake. Jet skis, pleasure boaters, other fishermen. My wife and I are just there to relax.
