Fishing up river

I'm thinking about going up river between Moon Slough and Cottonport fishing in the morning. I haven't been up there in a good whlle and was wondering if anyone on here had been. I was hoping that somebody has been that didn't mind passing along some in general information. Not looking for anyone's honey holes. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks and FISH ON.

I fished that area last fall, every slough was choked out with thick scum. Wore out my troller pretty quick! The edges of the grass against the channel seemed active early
