We forgot to freeze the sign up page on Wednesday night and it was not cut off until Thursday morning. Please forgive us! This has happened before. It's not a big deal. The sigh up sheet is simply given a time of cut off so Patrick has time to prepare the spread sheet print it out for registration and weigh in purposes.

Larry, I asked Patrick if I could and the committee took a vote and said OK. But my penalty for this is, I'm the last boat to go. Thought sign ups ended on Thursday. Was trying to get a partner nailed down which caused my to sign up late. I know 1 other boat that missed as well, and I'm sure other too. So you won't have to about jumping ahead of me on sign ups, like you do in almost every tourney, so chill out and worry about you!!

yeah i know what went on and it is friggin wrong.you could have looked at the sign up sheet just like every body else did.voting to break the rules that have been set what does that have to say about the voters.and leonard i damn sure am not worried about your goofy ass.you see me out you come try this old man.it was fun buy when the mods wont obey the rules it is time for me to go.btw earl it was posted that sign up was closed but it now has disappeared.and if yall want to ban me for telling the truth so be it.

Larry, you are wrong! Leonard signed up at 3:11 am on Thursday morning. Patrick froze the thread around 8:45 am at his office on Thursday morning. Normally it would have been cut off at 8:00 pm on Wednesday night. It was just an accident and over sight. We have already acknowledged that. But what is the big deal? We want as many participants as we can get. The objective is not to keep people out. No one did anything wrong intentionally or otherwise. And no harm was done and no one is being banned. Sorry you feel the way you do but that's your decision.

Com'on guys! Does it really matter? If Patrick is ok with adding a couple names, you need not lock out folks who would like to fish but who do qualify. Remember, you all are suppose to be the laid back, low stress, less expensive group. Not to mention the more that sign up the more places you have that can be paid out. I never liked having a cut off in the first place but after some of the issues arose in the past with folks showing up that were not even members it became a necessary evil and it did give the person responsible, time to get the log-in sheets done. Got no horse in the race anymore but just wanted to throw that thought out there. Miss you guys! Jmax

Larry, where were you last night? I hated not getting to see you last night . You and I were the top topic in conversation before blastoff..

So is that a threat " Leonard I'm damn sure ain't worried about your goofy ass. You see me out and come try this oldman'".. Well now, your depends must need changed.

You want to play some bingo to settle this?

BTW Larry, next time your describing someone Goofy, read back who started this thread, LOL...

I missed sign ups due to the 4th of July and I thought it was on Thursday as well. I started to message the board and see if I could sign up late but didn't want to ruffle any feathers. Like others said above this rule doesn't affect fishing in the least bit and is simply in place to help the directors keep things organized in a timely manner. I personally like the fact that the board considers others individual situations and will vote on any needed decisions that may vary from the written rule. This keeps the organization a more member friendly group. As long as the decisions voted on don't give anyone an advantage or harm others then I like the fact that they can make exceptions where needed. From what Ive seen in the short time Ive been a member their decisions always seem to be fair and in the best interest of the majority.

I think this is what got Oldman fired up, LOL.

**Tournament Registration
* All sign-ups will take place under the CFF Tournament Trail Forum. A sign-up deadline will be posted as well, and normally will be 7pm on Wednesday evening the week of a tournament, or on Wednesday evening for a Friday night tournament. Anyone who does not sign up online before the sign-up deadline will not be allowed to participate in the tournament. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Why get all torn up over it Larry? I didn't fish this one and really don't have a dog in this race but this is supposed to be about having fun and taking jabs at everyone at the ramp before and after, why try to keep someone out if they missed the deadline? Kind of takes the fun out of it when you get to this point

i have to disagree with u derek.if you make rules go by them or don't make them.now when some one comes in 30 min. late and wants to weigh his fish is he going to be told yes or no.it was plainly marked closed then all of a sudden it said nothing.how do you vote to break your rules that you made.it is not right and i dont give a damn what is said about it.right is right and wrong is wrong.i got 4 calls about it but no body wants to voice their opinion about it on open forum but that is ok too.i am done fishing these tx. and a lot of people are glad about it.nuf said.on to another trail.

Why don't you file a lawsuit, lol. Geez, a mistake was made. Live to fish another day already. It's everyone's responsibility to know the rules just like tournament rules. Enter on time and there won't be any issues.

I have been trying to get my post count up to be able to fish the CFF tournaments because they seemed like a lot of fun, but after all this drama I think I’ll pass. Fishing is about fun, life is to short to get worked up over something so dumb.

Springmillvol and Justin125, this isn't the norm for the majority of our tx's. We get drama 2 or 3 times a year. Luckily for the participants, we on the committee are the ones that catch the brunt of the arguments, mainly elwestb and dropshot. Come on out when you can, you don't have to be involved in any of this (unless you want to be, haha).

I did not fish this tournament but there seems to be an issue over an error with the sign up deadline. Mistakes are made no personal finger pointing intended. The committee has been doing a great job for years let it go and move on.

I agree. [In the discussion to drive my post count up.If I fish by myself do I need 200 posts, or just 100?]

Exception - "One-pass Rule"

Each team participating in any 2016 CFF Tournament Trail Event, shall have a total of 200 CFF posts and a minimum of one (1) CFF member who is active on the forum, in any combination between the two anglers. This can consist of one member with 200 posts and a guest with 0 posts. Additionally, any CFF member lacking 200 posts ("NON-Qualified member" will be allowed to participate by using one free pass. This means that a member with less than 200 posts may fish one tournament with another non-qualified member or guest. Both non-qualified members and the guest will have used their free passes. The "non-qualified members" will be encouraged to enjoy the fun and fellowship and contribute back to CFF by posting and the guest will be encouraged to join and contribute. Any new members (non-qualified) should print their user profile and present it with their driver’s license at sign-in to verify their qualifications. In addition, anglers wishing to participate should verify that they post counts can be viewed.
