I have the gripper style cleats on my Triton fiberglass boat. I want to replace with stainless steel open base cleat in order to install "no drill rod holders" for trolling. Is this process as simple as removing old cleat and replacing new one? Most web post talk about access to underside of gunnel which I don't have. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.
