Reversing braid?

I read on a BBC thread talking about reversing braid on your reel. Does it work for fluoro and mono too?

Those always kink like crazy when I pull the line off the spool so I'd imagine you'd end up with a kinked mess. You could try it, but I'd recommend drowning it with reel snot or something as you re-spooled it to try to remove the memory from it.

i dont see why it wouldnt. mono is so cheap i dont see the reason to do this. i have reversed heavy flouro but only because i was changing flipping reels

Mono and fluoro get really coiled up the closer you get to the center of the spool. Maybe you could stretch it back out, but why not just leave it there for filler and splice onto it.

I've reversed Fluoro and braid with no problems whatsoever. Only thing you gotta do is straighten the fluoro. I just hook it onto my trailer and walk all the line off and pull it tight and hold it there for a few mins and boom it's straight.
