Sign up when the tournaments are announced. If you have the number of posts required (which you do), you can fish the tournaments. The schedule will be posted early in the year and then the week before the tournament a sign up list is posted on here. After you sign up, you have to show up, sign a waiver and pay the fees.

CFF requirements are also posted on the home page but as afore mentioned, your there! Go to the CFF forum thread and that should give you more information. Looking forward to meeting you!

We just got the new boat and the CFF tournament was one of the reasons to get it. Never had insurance on the old one. Of course we had to get insurance on the new one. Is there anything special I need to have on my insurance? Or anything else I would be lacking to start tournament fishing? From what I have seen, I think the CFF is the most reasonable to start with.

Be sure to have enough liability. BASS weekend, BFL both want $100/$300k. Probably 'bout the same coverage a your vehicle. CFF doesn't mandate an amount that I see, but I wouldn't be on the water without it.
