Has there been a time they haven’t been spilling at the dam this year?
What does this constant up and down do to the bass bite?

I think almost every dam on TN River has been spilling since sometime near thanksgiving. Fort Loudon is the one i see the most and it has been non stop

Rusty,
correct it has been at least since Thanksgiving last year that the gates were actually closed. they have not even been anywhere near partial. i think the next time they close them will be when the bring the Lake up. just a guess

Chick damn has had the gates all the way open for the last few days.

The river is way above normal with some impressive current.

The rip rap berm below the railroad bridge has been completely under water for the last few days also.

We seriously need about a month with no rain.

I was looking at the TVA app yesterday and saw Pickwick was dumping almost 200,000. Unbelievable!

That is a lot of water.

Where I grew up on the Mississippi River south of Memphis, flow rates sometimes approach 2,000,000 cfps.

Huge amount of water when it is flooding.
