I did well with SK KVD 1.5 squarebills last February when the water was very muddy and bass were almost up in inches of water. It was more toward mid to late in the month. Red or craw patterns when it was muddy. The lake is surprisingly clear for a change right now. One of my favorite colors is the Albino Craw which for some reason Strike King discontinued however it's available with the Red Eye Shad. I catch more fish on the squarebill and hope I don't lose mine !

The sixth sense is a good bait. Right now you might be better off looking for that bite slightly off shore and over any veggies you can find. Couts (the black birds) can indicate aquatic growth as that is what they feed on. Warmer water is better. Once they get up near spawning areas and start feeding better, they'll get on the wood.
