Is it necessary to pre-pack a bearing if you're using Bearing Buddy or just pump it full?

Yes. That's what I finally found on their site:</p>

"<span class="color_22"><span style="font-family: proxima-n-w01-reg, sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 17px">it's best to get as much grease as possible inside the hub cavity between the bearings and then, while the Bearing Buddy® is off, fill it with grease as well from the backside. The air pockets inside the hub cavity and Bearing Buddy® will work their way out past the piston (or blue ring) on the Bearing Buddy®.</span></span></span> </p>

Blue indicator cap will start to move on that system. Don't go until it completely stops. You want maybe a 1/4 inch. If you fill it too much, you WILL blow your rear seal and yes...pre pack is the way to go then fill the cavity
