Pros? Cons? Worth the money? Would like to hear from someone who may have used it.

Thanks!

I got them for a while. It was kind of fun anticipating getting some new "mystery" fishing stuff each month. Some of the stuff was actually pretty good and caused me to try some lures / colors that I wouldn't have. Some of the stuff either didn't really fit the species I fish for or was just types that I don't use. All in all I liked it just after a while I decided that I had enough stuff and didn't need to spend the money each month. I recommend you try it for a while!

I've at one time used Mystery Tackle Box...Lucky Tackle Box...Ebaits...FishingCarePackage.com. I bought some of the LTB's for Christmas presents also when coupons were around and was getting boxes from $5.00 - $8.00. Pros...lures and usually soft plastics that I would probably never buy gave me a chance for some new techniques as I have a bad habit of reaching for the same 'ol lures and not experimenting enough. Cons...I don't need another package of Senkos or soft plastic craw baits that seem to come in a lot of the boxes. I think I preferred LTB over MTB with my small sample size as I never continued any subscriptions longer than two months and most just for one. Stay away from Ebaits and FishingCarePackage. I do use quite a bit of what was sent and have caught a few fish on a particular jerkbait...Big Bite Bait Kriet Shaking Squirrel worm...Missile Baits The 48 Super Bug ( yes - that's the name ) and Gambler 4" Flapp'n Shad.

MTB is a cool service. You can expect to get a box shipped to your door monthly and open up some pretty neat baits. With that being said, I did this for a couple of years. While cleaning up my garage, I realized I had a few years worth of cool baits sitting around that I never tried. I gave away a ton of baits to my father in law that I'd never use. I keep my colors and baits really simple and if it's anything else, I don't throw it. That might be my deal and not yours but if you are the least bit particular about what baits you throw, you probably won't use the ones they will send you. Definitely worth checking out for a few months. Be sure and find one of the youtube fisherman that is sponsored by the monthly service you are using, you can get a nice discount on your first box. Makes trying it easier.

I had LTB a couple of years ago and it started out pretty good. I had the upgraded version. I did get the best square bill crankbait I've ever owned, sadly couldn't remember the name and it broke. Any way, the reason I finally quit was that I was getting a lot of soft plastics, but they were promo packs with 5 or 6 worms and on the price sheet it would say the value was $6...well, yes, but for a full pack of 20. After 2 or 3 months of that I realized that I could spend my $25 and actually get $25 worth of baits instead of sample packs.

I tryed mtb. Got a few thing that I still throw. Some of it was good stuff. Most of it i have never thrown. It might work idk. The reason i did get it was because I thought maybe it will get me to try new stuff. I did with a few of them but not most. I canceled because I did not use most stuff. Like davo said. They would say 5-7 dollars worth of soft baits and only have 3-6 in a pack. I also got a lot of single hooks. Like 1 trailer hook or flick shake. Stuff like that happens in about every box I got.
