I'm not going another summer without quality sunglasses but the choices are endless and since I'm willing to spend the money want to make the right choice.

Does anywhere have a favorite local source for Costa, Maui Jim, Oakley, etc? Seems like Costa 580G in green mirror is pretty popular but I want to try them on first to make sure the frame is comfortable.

Any advice would be useful and appreciated!

I have a pair of prescription Oakley's. They weren't cheap but they are awesome. They also do a great job of keeping wind and flying objects out of my eyes while running up the lake.

I have been wearing prescription sunglasses for years. I have had several different brands. If you ever try on a pair of Maui Jim's you will forget the rest. They are the best. Yes, they are expensive. Worth it.

I have not tried the others mentioned here, but I tried on a friend's Costa's in the bright sun at Okeechobee and my eye's were relaxed like never before. If I could afford I would have a pair tomorrow

I have Costas and like them but had a problem. The nose section detached from the frame. They told me it would take six weeks to fix them. I super glued them and that worked. They were expensive in the $600 range. My eye doctor no longer carries Costas because of their customer service.

Thanks for this, exactly what I was looking for, a place that knows sunglasses and has inventory on hand to try on.

I've heard that from a couple people, great glasses till they aren't.

I was fishing with a guy last week that has a pair, he said the same thing. Definitely going to try them out.

I really like their frames and the SR-91 technology but didn't see where they offer prescription lens. I sent an e-mail to their support address, they have great reviews.

I'm going to try on Oakley's, I like the way their frame wraps around without being like a welding hood. Thanks!

The technology beats all of them. Of course everyone around here is gonna lean towards Costa and Maui Jim. Kaenon is superior still as far as the SR-91 and their prescription prices and options are as well. I was in sales for them for years but not biased because I’ve worn them all. Several times as an offshore first mate, I could see fish that guys with Costa and Maui Jim’s couldn’t see at the same time. Take it for what it’s worth, they are amazing, even tho I don’t where them anymore cause I don’t get em for free anymore, lol. Suncloud’s for the money and styles are hard to beat. But if ya wanna spend the money, Kaenon’s are amazing.

I am the other side of prescription wrap around. I need progressive lens, and the size of the lens in wrap around isn't large enough to find a comfortable position to see through clearly at varying distances. Not enough space for the different magnification. Were good at long distance, had to take them off for short or close up. Went back to aviator style.

I have Oakley’s and Costas. Prefer the Oakley’s.

I experienced heat steaming the lenses with the with the wrap around style if they fit too snuggly to face. Got to have space for air. Just my opinion. Bought new Maui Jim's prescription lenses today for my Twin Falls frame.
