Battery

I might need to buy a new cranking battery for my boat. I am currently running a HDS8, 9 touch and HDS 5 off that same battery. Should I look at am AGM type battery as a replacement since they have a longer reserve power rating? My current battery is a 2yr old Duracell 24M with 800CCA. Thoughts??

Definitely a AGM and go to a larger battery if u have the room. At least a 29. I would suggest to always put 2 units at console on stand by when u r on the trolling motor. Takes a split second to do but makes a world of deference in battery life and not sitting there pinging for no reason

i had a 31 series Odessey AGM in my Skeeter, absolutely the best battery ive ever had, 4yrs and never failed to start my Opti, ran 4 big graphs, 360, stereo and of course pumps. with that being i said i was told about a battery from autozone(or advance i'll have to check if youre really interested) its a smaller battery but still has 1000 CCA and im running 2 of them in parallel in the Gambler

The battery I am looking at is an X2 power AGM 31 It has 1150CCA and a 220 minute reserve capacity and comes with a 4 yr full replacement warranty..
