If the water is moving fish the off shore stuff ditches, small humps, etc. If its not, you can fish the banks. I used to live on Old Hickory and I did really well fishing the docks and shore line emergent grass flipping little beaver and brush hogs in cedar creek around the Mount Juliet area. If the wind gets going try wind blown banks with a chatter bait or spinner bait. Just down river from there is Shutes Branch rec area. the bay above that has a bunch of sail boats moored in the bay. The bottom between the boats and the bank is all limestone with many lime stone boulders strewn all over it. It was great buzz bait area early and late. If none of that works, I would flip all of the log jams above and below the river islands that line the channel above the 109 bridge. Old Hickory has a "tanic" water color, so black/ blue and purple colors work well. be sure and leave us a report
