So how you think this will affect your next fishing trip in the next 2 weeks? Going fishing or staying at home? Want to get some opinions on this. Thanks

Our reservations at BlueWater for the week after next are still good as of Sunday. I’ll have to recheck as the days go on. Since my brother started his new job 2 years ago the only time we get to fish is a spring and fall trip. We use to fish 5-6 times a month from March to Oct plus two one week trips a year in which we usually spent at the Chick. Been trying to pay off bills in order to get a truck so I can fish more often lol (boat is at my house but brother has only truck). Anyway, I would hate to miss this year’s spring trip. I seriously have withdrawals from not fishing and that’s no joke!!!! I’m in search of earth shattering head shakes. Been doing everything to try to make this trip work but it seems like everything keeps working against us lol. I’ve been following the rules and have been cooped up in my house with no outside contact. I haven’t even been out of my car when I’ve had to travel for food, etc. Fishing is the only thing that I do that when I’m doing it I have no other thoughts going through my head, not work, friends, personal problems, Etc. Fishing is the only thing that brings me peace. Crazy huh lol.

My personal opinion on this is if you are going to a near by lake then it is ok. Don't be huddled up at ramps and such. Also don't be on a boat with people you are not normally around. If you are going with someone you see multiple times a week then should not be an issue. Because if you are getting sick from them or making them sick it was going to happen anyway. I will not travel from home to go fishing. That is a good way to help this thing spread. But as long as it is a local lake to you and you are going with people you are normally with or by yourself no problem

I live 45 seconds from the ramp. 1 minute if I have to wait for the left hand turn. No one to see, no one to touch my boat. Just complete solitude just as it normally is when I go fishing. And the crankbait bite has been really good lately too !

I am staying at home. I don't know of a good excuse for having my boat hooked to my truck if I get pulled over. I just wish people would take this seriously for a couple of weeks. Maybe we could stop the spread.

I agree. Not so much worried about being pulled over. But...people are so selfish, Its all about me. I have been thinking and praying a lot about this. Maybe this is a warning. Look at the way we live. Maybe...he wants us to spend more time together as a family and actually use that thing called a kitchen table. I could go on and on. Be safe.

If you make the trip, you're part of the problem. STAY AT HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TWRA is fine with it and I plan to go if I can find an open boat ramp. I don’t see it as being part of the problem if I’m fishing alone.

Aries 181, I’ve been quarantined since March 12. I’ve done everything right and followed all the rules pretty much to the letter. I’ve only been out of my car one time when out of my car to get supplies. You can travel if you do it safely, washing hands, follow the distancing protocols, etc. I’m not part of the problem just because I decide to take some safe recreation. You sound kind of sour barking orders. I’m a responsible adult, so cool your jets.

Surely y’all understand it’s not being in the boat alone- it’s the going to ,the pumping gas, the boat ramp launching, the return trip, the risk to others so minute that you can’t even tell that the contamination is occurring. Everyone has their own priorities and I suspect the outdoors is the least risky, but until we know- why risk others?

Wolftever ramp was closed on us today they would not let us launch the boat sucks makes no sense this virus is worse that the government is telling the public that what I think anyway be safe
