So I'm wondering whether or not sponsored pro's will finish out 2020 with an Evinrude? BRP finally produced a great product with the Gen 11. Shame to see the Evinrude name come to a close in the outboard market but I'm thinking "Project Ghost" will introduce something new in marine propulsion with the Evinrude name. Maybe a 4 stroke jet motor?

When OMC , Evinrude ,went bankrupt, the pro's switched. Denny Brauer went to Merc until BRP reorganized Evinrude. Then he went back. I would think most would switch, since the factory support will cease. Brauer said his lawyer reviewed the contract, and OMC did not keep their end with the bankruptcy.

Glad I moved to Merc.
I have no complaints on any engine manufacturer.
I have run both Mercury and Evinrude.
Both have been great for me.
I currently have a 2006 Ranger 520VX with a E-Tech 225.
Has always started on first try and runs great. Will say that I have never
used anything but ethanol free gas and don't know if that makes a difference.
