In reading the various posts from members on CFF with questions about where to fish for just about every species, my typical response is a lesson on how to use the "Search" function on CFF to locate reports with dates in the subject line. This allows new members to quickly find the information they need to locate information on species, locations, and seasonal patterns within the vast amount of data in the CFF archives.

This got me to thinking...there are so many great posts on CFF that I recall. I'm sure many newer members have no knowledge of some of the older posts and awesome reports buried in the past. What if I could highlight some posts from all the previous reports ever posted on CFF with trophies in the pics and provide a picture, brief description, date, and even a link to the actual report posted on CFF! No way I could do it for each and every post with a decent fish but if I could sort and search through the entire archive of old posts all the up to today selecting the trophies I saw then I figured I could locate quite a few.

The results of this project is the new CFF Hall of Fame! Entries have been sorted by date, the most recent entries first all the way back to the beginning of CFF. I have spent the last few months of my spare time coding the functionality and tediously searching for candidates. Please note...<u>Those that appear in the Hall of Fame have been highly scrutinized for inclusion by the official CFF Hawg Board Recognition Committee and its complex candidate review process. :) This means it should not be taken lightly, this is a BIG and soon to be highly coveted honor!</u>

I hope I did not leave anyone out of the CFF-HOF by accident, but it's certainly possible that I did with the huge amount of posts to sort through. If so, I apologize and did not do it on purpose. If I did make an omission from the past or if you have a trophy pictured on a fishing report you think needs to be included then please Email or PM me the link to the post containing the Report and Pic and I'll present it before the Official CFF Hawg Board Committee to take it under consideration to get it added! :) All future nominations for the CFF-HOF should be submitted in the same manner.

This is the best way I know to recognize the generous contributions made to CFF in the past. Since Fishing Reports are the primary focus of CFF, I'm hoping this new area will ecourage anglers to post even more reports in the future!

No specific guidelines were used on this at all. If a fish looked big in a pic and had a decent report then I included it. Its certainly for recognition, but also to increase the visibility of some great reports posted in the past.

Going forward I will apply some general guidelines in these ranges, unless a quality report or a great picture needs to be highlighted. All pics should have the anglers face visible and be accompanied by a detailed fishing report to be considered:

Blue cat: 40 lb minimum, must be released
Flathead cat: 25 lb minimum, must be released
Channel cat: 12 lb minimum
Smallmouth 4 lb minimum, must be released
Largemouth 7 lb minimum, must be released
Striper 25 lb minimum, must be released
Crappie 15" minimum
Bream 11" minimum
Drum/Carp/Buffalo 20lb minimum
Gar 10lb minimum - must be landed on board, and released
--TROUT --
Rainbows- 20"
Browns- 24"
