I never used these things until this weekend and I will never go withoit them again. They are like crack for the whites and skippies!

Your gonna kick yourself when they are biting and you break off and are out of spoons though LOL

I can verify this. I was kicking myself yesterday. I just wish I'd seen this before I went searching all over for these things and had to settle for something different. I went through my last 3 yesterday.

Spur, I need to meet up with ya soon for a few whites. Midsize. Sunday the skips were jumping like crazy beneath the dam and nobody could catch any.

I guess I need to just show up and sell them on the rocks! LOL

True story: I love using a sabiki rig for the skips, BUT sometimes for whatever reason, they wont touch it. I started using the foleys, BAM, fish on. Plus you get so many other fish hitting them. Nothing like throwing at the skip and get slammed and reel in a 15 lb striper!

Depends on the situation, and what i'm targeting. I've found thatfishing for smallmouth in the tailraces of North Alabama, the medium size chartreuse foley-spoon is my go to. Thiscolor isless attractive to the skipjack, and is great if i'm focused onsmallies. However, when i'm ready to let them skipjack bleed, the medium white is hard to beat.

That would have worked. If you'd been there Friday my wallet would have been empty quick. emoLaugh

Can anyone tell me if these are these good for non tail water fishing? I've never really fished spoons, but these have me interested.... Thanks, Jim
