04/04/06 bank fishing for crappie report

I thought I would give it a whirl like some of the others from the forum have been doing. I slipped over (undetected) to Why's dock....WHAT!!! WHY LIVES ON THE LAKE!!!....and managed 13 crappie in about an hour. They were not all keepers, but it did not matter I didn't keep any of them anyway.

I caught them on a very small tube jig (me fishing with a tube jig? Imagine that!!). Yellow and white. I also used a float and about 18 inches to 2 feet between float and jig. It was between 7 and 8 last night.

Please don't tell Why I was fishing from his dock yesterday!! Thanks.

Well that explains it. Usually without fail, I can go home from work, go down to the dock and catch anywhere from a few to a boatload (depending on how much time I have) of crappie, but every now and then I get totally shut out. I never get shut out off my own dock. So I see now that my buddy WHEN is sneaking over BEFORE I get down there, sore mouthin them and leaving. Who can you trust these days?
