04/04/06 no pics this time but......

Why and myself fished last night from around 9 to 11:15 and caught 19 bass and 1 beautiful GOGGLE EYE.

7 keeper largemouth - 2 over 3lbs
3 keeper spot
1 very nice smallmouth, but just short

Corn dogs, tube jigs, hair jigs.
Mustard, ketchup, blackened, blackened with mustard, and plain. They weren't too picky last night.
Shallow, less than 4 ft.

It is a warmouth, some call them rock bass I think. They do not get very big at all, but they have a very big mouth for the size of their body.

Ah .. gotcha! Did it have red eyes?

Over all it sounds like a decent fishing trip. I'm hoping to go some but not sure how to manage it. Can't leave work early this week and this weekend I have got to get the garden in!!! I was telling my husband the next available day I KNOW FOR SURE I can plan for fishing is during the weekend of the 14th. I hope the fish are still acting like they are now ... by then!

I have heard of Rock Bass and Green Sunfish called Goggle Eye... which one did you catch?

I'm not sure which it was, too dark. It just had that body and mouth. They are very similar.
