10.13.06 Below Chickamaug (Spot Fest!)

Fished from 7am til 12 noon today and wore out the Spots. I had thought about fishing for catfish but could not get skippies so we went for some bass. Caught 13 fish total today...11 spots, 1 smallmouth (13"), and one little lm (7"). All were caught on crankbaits in 10-15 feet of water. All fish were caught within a 2 hour window of time too! From 8:30 - 10:30 we could not keep fish out of the boat, it was non-stop, then they just quit bitting. We kept 6 of the spots for dinner tonight !

Quit bitting? I don't think I have ever fished down there and have them quit biting. Did you try different locations, depths, bait, etc.

2jigs and I will be down there tomorrow morning to get our share of them. Anyone else going?

Michael can I build a fire in your boat in the morning?emoLaugh It's going to be a little cool, but thats ok. It;s just a little tough getting use to it at first. Heck I've still got a slight sun burn from the big G. tuesday.But after the first good fish it always seems to warm up.

Putting in at Suckcreek around 7am. I want to fish the bend then head south toward Racoon. Try out a few of those banks we fished Micheal. </p>

I'll be going down from the ramp first off so can find me down across the river from those apartment right next to where the creek comes off the mountain and into the river...

It sounds like you guys are going to have a great time on the water. Let us know what patterns are working and hopefully we'll get down there sometime. Even you Skeeter. I'll be at work too.

That's a good idea Polo. My pattern is leaving around 6 and going to Hardees. Then going to work and eat Hardees. Piddle around for a few hours, then around 9 or so eat Hardees again. Go back to looking busy and piddleing some more. Around 12ish i will eat leftover Dominos pizza and walk out on the dock for alittle while. Piddle till 3 or so. Drink Coke and eat a candy bar. Wonder around till 6 and drink another Coke. Bout 6:05 roll my toolbox back to the cage and call it a day. Wait till 7 and clockout and go home.


Now i dont want any of you guys thinking that you can use my plans to your advantage. It wont work for you. It's all about the presentation.
