Took AlvinC up the the Nuke to chase some cats. Man did the wind blow, and I bet we saw about 15 cabin crusers (the BIG ones) going up and down the river. The waves and the wind made for miserable conditions.
We started out at the intake were Alvin caught 3 blues: 13 lb, 10lb, and 1.5lb. Fish were caught suspended about 10-15 off the bottom against the intake wall in 45 feet of water. We then moved down to the ledge by the discharge were I finally caught a 7.5lber. Not bad considering the conditions. Just before dark we cast netted about 3 dozen threadfins that we are taking to the Riverpark tomorrow morning to go for some bass around the bridge pillings.
Got to meet M17Glock and GlockJr. They were trying for some cats at the intake. We shared some skipjack with them and gave them a few pointers. GlockJr had a good run but the fish pulled off. Maybe next time. It is always good to meet other members of the forum and to share tips and knowledge. That is what it is all about.
