Acually it's 2jigs. We hit the Riverpark this morning to chase some spots. Day started off well as within the first 10 minutes we each caught a keeper largemouth on topwater. After that it got pretty slow. We ended up with 16 in the boat and had 5 or so that got off on the way. We did manage two keeper spots to go along with the 2 largemouths. Probably would have done better but they had the rowing competition down town and for 3 miles it was not wake. That ate up about 1 hour of the day idling down and up the river. I did hook something huge on a jigging spoon that I could not get off bottom. It just swam back and forth under the boat unitl the hook pulled. Probably a 20+ lb drum. Most fish came off topwater, pig n jigs, jigging spoon, and white crank baits.
All in all not a bad day. The spot bite was very slow and we had to work hard for the 16 we did put in the boat. It was good to get to know 2jigs a little better and we will probably do it again real soon.
On a side note, we spoke to the game warden (who checked us and our spots in the livewell, we were clean) and he said there are no restrictions in Baylor Creek that he was aware of. He said as far as he was concerned it was fair game.
